The impacts of sea level rise and climate to coastal areas in Southeast New Brunswick. This project on the impacts of sea level rise and climate to coastal areas in Southeast New Brunswick is by Environment Canada and the Applied Geomatics Research Group is part of the team http://alantic-web1.ns.ec.gc.ca/slr/. The project involves a large multidisciplinary team consisting of government departments, universities, and the Applied Geomatics Research Group (AGRG) of COGS. The AGRG is responsible for the DEM construction and the generation of flood risk maps considering different water levels associated with sea level rise and storm surge events. The workshop will expose participants to the factors associated with the LIDAR data acquisition and DEM production for the application of flood risk mapping.
